PDO Threads
What are PDO threads?
MINT PDO (minimally invasive non-surgical thread) are an absorbable sugar polydioxanone suture that are gently placed under the skin and into the soft tissue to help maintain the skins firmness and elasticity. The PDO threads slowly start to dissolve (just like a suture used within surgery) and longevity of the suture itself is about 3-4 months. As the threads are inserted, the skin is slowly lifted & they stimulate a production of collagen and elastin, slowly tightening and firming the skin. These results can be expected to last for 12 months plus.
How long until I see results?
Minor swelling and bruising can occur on the day of treatment but results can be seen immediately – however these results will get better within 6-12 weeks of treatment, once the collagen and elastin has started to be produced.
